Criminal Law
Traditional and economic criminal law and advice on compliance and crime prevention.
In an increasingly complex business and regulatory environment, criminal law is becoming increasingly important in business law, especially since legal persons themselves can be subject to criminal liability.
Our specialisation in this area focuses on two areas. On the one hand, in the traditional practice of criminal law in its mainly economic aspect, in procedures related to assets (fraud, misappropriation, offences against the market and consumers), banking and stock market criminal law, money laundering offences, offences against the Public Treasury and Social Security, offences against the prevention of occupational risks, offences against industrial and intellectual property or offences against regional planning, among others.
On the other hand, our specialisation also focuses on the field of regulatory compliance and preventive criminal advice, developing money laundering prevention plans and compliance programmes aimed at exempting or mitigating the criminal liability of legal persons, drawing up opinions on criminal matters and, in general, advising companies on all matters relating to their compliance obligations in this area.
