Álvaro Maortua

In his early stages, Álvaro Maortua combined both taxation and corporate advice. As from 2002 his practice focused mainly in in-house counselling of different groups of companies, assuming the management of their corresponding tax departments.

As an in house counsel, he has designed and executed financial and tax efficient structures and restructuring projects, and managed the control and supervision of all aspects related to tax obligations and compliance.

The activities of the groups of companies has advised have been mainly renewables, real estate, media and industrial.

Also, along his career he has advised on a regular basis in Spanish investments abroad.

Likewise, he has advised family groups with the purpose to obtain a tax efficient planning mainly as regards Income Tax, Wealth Tax and Inheritance Tax.
